1000 Page Report Of No Use ; Sanathan Santha Ban Still Pending

Speaking to TIMES NOW on the dossier sent by then Prithviraj Government to the Union Home Ministry seeking a ban on Sanatan Sanstha in April 2011, Naveen Chomal, Legal Advisor, Sanatan Sanstha, said, “It was merely a lollipop by Congress Government to please a particular segment, Leftist minded segment, who are always vocal before the media, creating public opinion.” “Congress Government basically needed some agencies on their side to counter the growing Hindutva forces. 1,000 page dossier is of no value,” Chomal said. In 2014, the Maharashtra Government had again sent a reminder with a 1,000 page dossier to the central government proposing to ban the Sanstha. However, the proposal is still pending with the Government. Members of the right-wing group have been suspected of being involved in the murders of rationalists Govind Pansare and Narendra Dabholkar and have allegedly threatened journalists Nikhil Waghle and Shyamsundar Sonnar.
