1,600-year-old cargo found in Israel

Divers in Israel have found ancient marine cargo in the Mediterranean Sea. The haul is thought to be from a merchant ship that sank near the ancient port of Caesarea around 1,600 years ago.
It is believed to be from a merchant ship from the Caesar era and dates from the late Roman period. Metal statues are rare archaeological finds since they were always melted down and the metal reused.
