18 endangered Chinese alligators have been released into the wild in east China’s Anhui Province. It was the 12th mass release of Chinese alligators, which are also known as Yangtze alligators. There are only about 150 of them living in the wild. Conservationists have been trying to increase that number with the help of artificial reproduction. The 18 alligators released on Sunday were bred by the Chinese Alligator Center in Anhui.
