3 astronauts on Soyuz spacecraft head to International Space Station

A Soyuz spacecraft on Tuesday carrying three astronauts is on its way to the International Space Station after taking off from the Baikonur Cosmodrome launch platform in Kazakhstan. The crew includes European Space Agency (ESA) astronaut Tim Peake, NASA astronaut Tim Kopra, and Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko. The trio are scheduled to spend almost six months aboard the space station.
