Around 43 Taliban militants have been killed after security forces in Afghanistan continued with an operation in the northern province of Kunduz. The Taliban’s shadow district governor was among those killed. During the operation, code-named “Thunder 14,” Afghan troops forced the Taliban out of Kunduz, just hours after the militant group had taken control of the district.
