Two police officer and three civilians were killed in a car bombing Wednesday in southeastern province of Mardin .
Reports say that the bomb-laden car, which arrived in Midyat from southeastern province of Batman carrying 500 km of explosives, sought to enter the police headquarters, but was stopped by the police. The car exploded when police opened fire.
Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) was behind the attack.
It was the second car bomb attack in two days in Turkey. On Tuesday, seven police and four civilians were killed in a bomb attack in central Istanbul.
