80 years after Long March, a look at how traffic development has benefited the economy in Guizhou

In early January 1935, the Red Army crossed the Wujiang River after a three-day battle against Kuomintang forces. The river, the largest southern tributary of the Yangtze, is flanked on both sides by steep cliffs. Back then, the only way to cross the river was by boat but now, after 80 years of development, traffic has hugely improved. CCTVNEWS visited Weng’an county to find out how improved traffic systems have benefited the local economy.
