86 Indian fishermen released from Karachi

Pakistan has released 86 Indian fishermen from a Karachi jail, with another 87 to be released soon. They will travel to Wagah border and be handed over to Indian authorities on Monday. They are among more than 300 Indian fishermen held in Pakistani jails for violating the country’s territorial waters. Fishermen are frequently arrested and their boats seized by both India and Pakistan as the maritime border in the Arabian Sea is poorly defined, and many fishing boats lack the technology needed to be certain of their precise location.
