The Aam Aadmi Party, led by leader Ashutosh is set to file a complaint against Minister of State for External Affairs VK Singh for his ill-phrased statement that sought to compare the death of two Dalit children with dogs. The AAP is seeking to register a criminal case under the Scheduled Caste Prevention of Atrocities Act and has also demanded his ouster. Yesterday, when asked by a media person if the Government had failed in it’s duties over the death of the two Dalit children, the VK singh said, “You cannot associate the Centre with local incidents. An inquiry is going on. There was a dispute between the two families and it took an ugly turn. The local administration has failed, not the Centre. You cannot blame the Centre for everything. If someone throws a stone at a dog, you will hold the government responsible. It doesn’t work like that.” The minister later offered an apology. “Some people have created a totally different picture all together, which was never there. I had no intention of hurting anybody. Because of this imaginative linking of

somebody if somebody’s feelings have been hurt, I apologize whole-heartedly,” VK Singh said.
