AAP’s Satyendar Jain Appears Before Income Tax Department

Delhi Health Minister Satyendar Jain today appeared before the Income Tax Department in response to the summons served to him.

Speaking to the media, AAP leader Sanjay Singh defended the minister, saying that Satyendar Jain is innocent and that the party stands by him.

TIMES NOW was the first to access the Income Tax (I-T) department summons issued to Aam Aadmi Party minister. He had been summoned in relation to three firms and asked to show his account books.

Jain had tried to downplay the summons, stating that he had been asked to appear before the I-T department summoned for an “assessment” and that he is not being investigated.

While speaking to reporters, the Delhi Health Minister had said, “I have been called as a witness. I have no connection with any of those firms now. That connection was in 2011.”
