China’s 55 kilometer-long Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge was fully connected on September 27, officially making it the longest cross-sea bridge in the world. The 55-kilometer bridge is one of the most complex construction projects in the world, and it will shorten the drive time from Hong Kong to Zhuhai from three hours to only 30 minutes. China is home to over half of the world’s longest span suspension bridges, cable-stayed bridges, steel arch bridges, and cross-sea bridges.
