Aerial video: Tsinghua freshmen get creative with military training

The annual parade of freshmen’s military training at China’s Tsinghua University has been recorded from an aerial viewpoint, showing the youthful vigor and vitality of the new undergraduate students as they get ready to begin their college lives.
But instead of marching in regular formation, they strode in unusual groupings to display some creative ideas, mirroring the video games Tetris or Snake from above. They even created a five-point star at the end of the show.
Similar campus traditions are long established across China, aiming to teach students the spirit of teamwork both physically and mentally in a new environment.
