Afghan forces drive Taliban rebels from Kunduz

Afghan forces continued their efforts to drive Taliban militants out of the northern city of Kunduz early on Tuesday. The police chief of Kunduz said government troops with the help of NATO air support and US special forces launched a counter-attack on the Taliban on Monday night, killing a number of militants, including three Afghan troops. The interior ministry said dozens of civilians have been wounded, and at least one was dead.
