African Students Protest In Hyderabad | Tanzanian Girl Stripped and Paraded

Major protest breaks out in Hyderabad over the alleged racial attack on a Nigerian student, earlier this week in Bangalore. The protest was called for by African students unions in Hyderabad. They are demanding that the police should take necessary actions to curb the attacks on African students. On January 4, few Tanzanian students were attacked by an angry mob in Bangalore. While the police and state continues to say that the attack didnt have colours of racism, African students believes otherwise. One of the student at the protest said, “If one is scared or attacked, they will go to the police. But in this case, the police asked the girl to go back to the mob and get the people who attacked her. She is 21 years old and the police cannot make such demands when someone is stressed. We need to fix the police.” The angry students claimed that while many people are good to them, the police needs to be more responsible for them and their well-being.
