At least 16 people, including 14 civilians and two special forces soldiers, were killed in a gun attack at a beach resort in southern Côte d’Ivoire on Sunday. Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM) has claimed the attack. The country, also known as Ivory Coast, was once one of the most stable countries in West Africa, and has seen fast economic growth in recent years.
