A desert show on Dunhuang City, northwest China’s Gansu Province, recently turned out to be a great success.
Dunhuang is strategically positioned on the ancient Silk Road with the Central Plains of China on its east and the western regions on its west.
Thousands have watched the show on dunes since it was first staged in August.
Multiple technical methods were used in the play to express the theme, including 3D projection of the wall structure and water curtain imaging.
The 360-degree-rotating pavilion also provides audience a time-travel experience from the modern world to the ancient.
