Anger over Thai police shooting dogs

A public anger has been triggered in Thailand after a police officer shot dead a dog and injured another one.

The shooting took place at a police apartment in Bangkok on the night of last Friday.

The officer has turned himself in to the authorities.

He faces three charges of animal torture, shooting in public without proper reason and carrying firearms in public.

He has apologized for his wrongdoing, but disclosed that his wife were threatened by stray dogs attacks around their building.
