Ankara hints at delays to US extraditions unless Gulen is handed over

Turkish President Erdogan has hinted that Ankara could delay the extradition of criminals back to the United States unless US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen is returned to Turkey. Gulen is accused of orchestrating July’s failed coup attempt in Turkey, but he has denied the allegations, while US officials urge Ankara to allow the legal process to take its course. Erdogan expressed his frustration towards Washington’s reluctance to having Gulen extradited.
