Ankara refuses to change anti-terrorism law

Turkey has refused an EU request to narrow its definition of terrorist crimes. The measure was one of 72 required by the EU as part of a deal that would grant visa-free EU travel to Turks in return for Ankara stopping migrants reaching Europe. Turkey says reforms will take place in the future if there is progress in negotiating an end to the 28-year conflict with Kurdish militants.
