APJ Abdul Kalam’s Grand Nephew Quits BJP

Former President APJ Abdul Kalam’s grand nephew has quit the BJP over allotment of Kalam’s bungalow to Minister of Culture and Tourism, Mahesh Sharma. A P J Syed Haja Ibrahim, who had joined BJP in 2012, resigned as Vice President of the minority wing of Tamil Nadu unit of BJP and the party’s primary membership. Ibrahim wanted to convert the bungalow into memorials for departed leaders. Defending the allotment of the bungalow Kalams 10, Rajaji Marg residence in New Delhi to Sharma., Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu had said that the allocation was made as per “rules and procedures” of the government.
