Apple invests $1 bln in China’s Didi

Apple’s unexpected 1 billion dollars investment in Chinese ride hailing platform Didi Chuxing is the tech giant’s first IT venture in China. Some tech analysts say the investment deal paves the way for Apple Cars to enter China’s smart-car market. Additionally, Apple is also expected to promote the use of Apple Pay in China through Didi Chuxing, which now supports Alipay and Tencent’s Wepay.
