Micheal Kariuki who works at one of Kenya’s main Pharmacy as a salesman,has once was infected by malaria parasites. He knows a lot about Artemisinin Combination Therapy (ACT).
Kariuki said one can never imagine how popular ACT is in the pharmacy as many Kenyans have have developed confidence in them.
Artemisinin came in Kenya in 2003-2004. By 2006 the government adopted it based on a combination of therapies as the most effective drug for controlling malaria.
