Asia human trafficking: Myanmar, Cambodia among ten worst countries

Human Trafficking involves the use of force, coercion or trickery to force people into servitude. According to the Global Slavery Index, Myanmar and Cambodia rank among the ten worst countries in the world for human trafficking and modern-day slavery. Two thirds of the estimated 45.8 million people in modern slavery are in Asia. Tracing the source, transit routes, and destination of people who have been trafficked is complex. Cooperation with foreign governments is needed to fight against human trafficking.
