Assignment Asia Episode 12 – Fighters

This week’s stories focus on ‘fighters’. First to Lebanon, where unexploded bombs and mines, left over from years of conflict, are threatening many lives. We meet the people who are working to clear all the mines from the land, and also some people who have suffered from accidental explosions – but aren’t letting it stop them from having fun. In Afghanistan, we have the story of the brave workers who are trying to eradicate polio, despite the threats to their work. And finally, we look at how one woman used her own tragic experience to advocate for a safer India, free of acid attacks. We hope you enjoy the program!
