At least 10 dead in France’s 1st TGV fatal accident

At least 10 people were killed, and dozens injured after high-speed train derailed during a test run. Five people are still missing. The TGV train caught fire after derailing and landing in a canal on Saturday outside Eckwersheim near Strasbourg in eastern France. A local senior official says the accident happened “because of excessive speed”, but police say it is too early to determine the cause of the crash.
