At least 115 confirmed dead in clashes in S. Sudan

At least 115 people are dead after heavy gunfire erupted at the presidential palace in the South Sudanese capital of Juba. The attack happened on Friday evening local time near the state house where former rivals President Salva Kiir and Vice President Riek Machar were meeting for talks. The majority of victims were soldiers from the Machar-led Sudan People’s Liberation Army-In-Opposition. The cause and circumstances of the shooting remain unclear.
