According to local officials, at least 94 bodies have been recovered by Sunday.
The landslide occurred on Friday near a jade mine in northern Kachin State, burring about 80 households in a village.
Most of them are local miners and their families.
The death toll is likely to rise further as the landslide hit before dawn when villagers were sleeping.
It remains unclear exactly how many people may be buried.
Rescue work is still continuing.
