Three car bombs in Baghdad killed at least 94 people Wednesday, marking the bloodiest day in the Iraqi capital this year. The first bomb targeted a busy market in northeast Sadr City district. The explosives were hidden under fruit and vegetables loaded on a pick-up truck. Hours later, a suicide car bomb exploded in the northeast district of Kad-him-iya, where many Shi’ite pilgrims were visiting a mosque. At around the same time, another car bomb ripped through the al-Jami’a district in western Baghdad.
