A 6.9-magnitude earthquake has struck near the city of Meiktila in central Myanmar. Government officials say at least three people were killed. Several Buddhist temples were damaged in the ancient city of Bagan. Tremors could be felt as far away as the country’s largest city, Yangon, and the Thai capital, Bangkok. It was also felt in neighboring India and Bangladesh.
