Australia launches public campaign against telecom fraud

Australia has been using public campaigns and legal measures to crack down on cybercrime and fraud recently. Telecom companies now require mobile phone users to provide their real names when registering a new telephone number, with tourists and foreign exchange students also forced to comply with the new rules. The Australian government has launched anti-fraud campaigns and set up a website for the public to report such cases. Meanwhile, the country is also working on legislation to further fight against scams.
