Australian Prime Minister rejects calls to quit

Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has rejected calls for his resignation after the weekend’s disastrous election. Three days after polls closed, Turnbull’s Liberal/National coalition and the opposition Labor Party are both short of the 76 seats needed to govern. On Monday, Labor leader Bill Shorten urged the Prime Minister to go. Turnbull brushed aside the call.
