While addressing a press conference at the US, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Vikas Swarup spoke about the letters written by Pakistan to United Nation dating 4th and 9th of September over the allegations made by Pakistan that India was raising a 197-km-long, 10-meter-high and 135-foot-wide wall on the Line of Control (LoC). “We are aware of the two letters written, the first was written on the 4th of September stating that there was no bilateral dialogue, after that BSF and the Pakistan rangers have already met. So that letter in itself is contradicting,” said Swarup. “As far as the second letter is concerned dating 9th of September, it is based on some suggestions by Sayeed Salahuddin, a global terrorist. So at an appropriate time there will be a response to it,” added Swarup. On asking if there has been a letter written in today’s date to which the spokesperson replied saying there is nothing in his knowledge to that. On questioning if Nawaz Sharif will bring up the Kashmir issue in UN, Swarup replied asking has the UN taken an appropriate action on these letters and if there is any action taken they will respond appropriately.
