Bad moon rising as typhoon sets giant lunar inflatable bouncing around city

We’ve all seen images of the chaos and terrible damage caused by extreme weather, but perhaps never before like this – as super typhoon Meranti hit southeast China’s Fujian Province on Wednesday afternoon, a giant inflatable moon was blown free of its moorings in provincial capital Fuzhou. It rolled and bounced its way across streets and car parks, over cars and pedestrians. It is unclear if anyone was injured or how much damage was caused by the inflatable, a festive decoration for China’s Mid-Autumn Festival.
