At least four anti-government protesters have been killed and 90 injured after security forces moved in on demonstrations in Baghdad’s heavily fortified Green Zone. Live ammunition, rubber bullets, water cannons and tear gas were used to eject demonstrators from the central district which houses the Iraqi parliament, government buildings and several embassies. Protesters were angry with the government’s failure to approve anti-corruption reforms and to provide security.
