Bell struck in NE China’s Shenyang to mark the 85th anniversary of the September 18 Incident

A ceremony to mark the 85th anniversary of the September 18 Incident, known as the beginning of the Japanese invasion of NE China in 1931, is underway in the city of Shenyang. A bell was struck at the Shenyang 918 History Museum, along with a three minute siren alarm across the city, a symbolic action to remind people to stay alert for national defense.
