“One of the biggest challenge confronting us as we work at reducing childhood death is to work on solving the problem of malnutrition in Nigeria.”
Despite rapid economic growth, Nigeria is home to the highest number of stunted children in Africa and the second highest globally.

“For every child that dies there are about four to five who survive and yet because of malnutrition they never develop physically and mentally.”
Dangote and Gates have previously teamed up on polio eradication programs, which resulted in the country being taken off the global list of endemic countries last year.
