A man in Zhejiang Province has become the second driver to alarm both police officers and online users in China after he was spotted with an IV pole and drip attached to his arm heading along the highway.
With his left hand he held an iron pole with a bottle of saline solution attached, which was inserted into his veins. With his right he held a mobile phone, on which he was surprisingly making calls. All this happened while he was driving at 80 kilometers per hour.
The driver was stopped by police and had to pay a penalty of 150 yuan (24 US dollars). He was also given four penalty points for dangerous driving. A week earlier a woman was captured on camera driving with an IV pole along the highway. She said she had to go back home to deal with some emergency issues, but was not supposed to have left the hospital.
