A villager found a pair of black bear cubs while picking herbs on a mountainside in Hanzhong city, northwest China’s Shaanxi Province recently. The farmer saw that the frail cubs were left alone without being accompanied by their mother, so he decided to take them home and feed them with infant milk powder, eggs and honey, as well as bathing them.
Having received gentle care from the farmer for nearly two months, the cubs have grown to up to ten kilograms in weight. The black bears are second-class national protected animals, a species which has seen numbers increase a lot as environmental conditions improve. The villager contacted the local forestry department to put them back into the wild. Take a look at these cute black bears hand-reared by humans!
