Boeing has plans to restart the production of the 737 MAX by May, but it will depend on the impact of COVID-19. The company will also have to get the all clear from US regulators. The 737 MAX was involved in two fatal crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia. The accidents in 2018 and 2019 left 346 people dead. Re-starting production of Boeing’s best-selling jet will end months of suspension. Boeing is also seeking $60 billion from the US government to prop up its finances.
