A boy, who got his leg stuck under a car wheel following a road accident in Shanghai, was released thanks to passersby who joined hands to lift the front of the vehicle.
Surveillance camera footages showed the minutes of the accident which saw a car hitting an electric bicycle at the entrance of an alleyway. The father, who was operating the two wheeler, was knocked down, but his son was partially trapped under one of the car’s front wheels. Several security personnel from a nearby residential quarter and passersby rushed to the rescue, and together lifted the car to free the boy. He was then sent to a hospital, and only sustained minor injuries.
The accident was caused by the inexperienced driver, who hit the gas pedal instead of the brakes upon seeing the bicycle passing.
