Brazil holds opening ceremony security drill ahead of Rio Olympics

Brazil has run security drills at Rio de Janeiro’s Maracana Stadium in preparation for the opening ceremony of the 2016 Olympic Games. More than 2,000 people including military officers, policemen, volunteers and Olympic officials took part in the exercises. Brazilian police escorted more than 250 buses along pre-planned routes between the city and the stadium to ensure everything runs smoothly on the Olympic Games’ opening day.
