Brazil politics: First presidential impeachment session ends after 12-hour debate

The Brazilian congressional commission has closed its first meeting on whether to impeach the country’s President Dilma Rousseff. Rousseff is accused of breaking the law by juggling government accounts to disguise the depth of budget shortfalls during her 2014 re-election. She argues that it’s a relatively technical accusation and is not an impeachable offense.
