Brazil’s Workers’ Party has suffered major defeats in local elections, as citizens across the nation vote for mayors and council members in their communities. The local elections are an important indicator of the electorate’s mood ahead of Brazil’s next presidential election, which is set for two years from now. The defeats come in the immediate aftermath of the impeachment of former President Dilma Rousseff. CCTV’s Paulo Cabral reports.
