Breached levee restored after 45-hour repair job

Local residents and soldiers successfully repaired a breached levee on Tuesday morning in Huarong county, central China’s Hunan Province, after two days of emergency work. The 32-meter-long levee, located at a flood detention basin, began to leak on Sunday morning and was completely flooded within 50 minutes. More than 4,000 people contributed to rescue operations in the area.
