Brexit referendum

A week ahead of the Brexit vote, we weighed in on the latest polls and the potential consequences of an exit from the EU. Why is the race so close? What’s driving each side? And are the warnings about economic disaster for a Britain outside the EU exaggerated, as many in the Leave camp believe? If a Brexit does indeed occur, will the UK and EU be able to maintain a positive relationship? Join us for a discussion about these issues as the countdown to the referendum continues. We spoke with Wang Yiwei, Director of the Center for EU Studies at Renmin University; in Southampton, Mike Bastin, Visiting Professor at Beijing’s University of International Business and Economics; and in Brussels, Paul Ivan, Policy Analyst at the European Policy Center.
