The UK has given its final approval for the first new nuclear plant to be built in the country in two decades with help from French and Chinese investment. A decision was postponed in July, but Hinkley Point in Somerset will go ahead with some new conditions added to the deal. Critics of the project had raised concerns about national security because of the scale of foreign investment. CCTV’s Olly Barratt has the story.
