British PM May calls for “maximum freedom” in EU

British Prime Minister Theresa May has called for “maximum freedom” in the European Union’s singular EU market, despite her government’s refusal to abide by EU laws. European leaders have long insisted that access to the single market comes with responsibilities. May’s address to the Conservative party conference came as the pound plunged in currency markets around the world.
