Californian ban on ivory deals to begin in July

The poaching of elephants and rhinos is increasing at an alarming rate, fuelled by demand for ivory and rhino horns from Asia. China is the largest importer of ivory followed by the U.S.  Now some states in the U.S. are making efforts to stem the supply, by imposing bans on buying and selling both ivory and horns. California is the latest to jump on the bandwagon, but as CCTV’s May Lee reports, opponents of the ban aren’t going down without a fight.
