Cameron says government unanimous on Syria strikes

Ahead of an important parliamentary vote British Prime Minister David Cameron said on Tuesday that his government had unanimously agreed on a motion for air strikes against the Islamic State militants in Syria. Cameron wants to launch the strikes as soon as possible, arguing that the nation must stand with its allies in confronting extremism, after ISIL said it was behind last month’s Paris attacks. A parliamentary vote on the issue, which will decide whether Britain takes part in airstrikes, will take place on Wednesday.
