Canada fire doubles in size, situation out of control

A wildfire ripping through Canada’s oil sands region in Alberta province has doubled in size, and authorities warn it is “out of control.” More than 1,400 firefighters, 133 helicopters, 200 pieces of heavy equipment and 27 air tankers are battling 43 separate blazes across the province. Almost 100,000 residents have been forced to evacuate from Fort McMurray city.
